Katy Mak was born in Hong Kong and holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from the University of Hong Kong. After graduation, she worked in the finance industry until 2016, when she decided to pursue her artistic development. She studied Chinese ink painting under the guidance of Vivian Lau, Wong Hau Kwei, and Chan Keng Tin.

Katy's creative inspiration comes from nature and everyday life, with a particular fondness for themes related to the ocean and water. Her work "Flow" was awarded an Excellent Work rating at the 14th National Art Exhibition in China (2024).

She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Hong Kong, China, Australia, and South Korea.
