Anastasia Akimenko
Anastasia Akimenko is a Russian artist born in 1987 in Smolensk. She has developed a deep interest in painting since childhood.
Anastasia graduated from Smolensk State University with a degree in Fine Arts. She has worked as an art teacher and as the creative director of the design department in Russia and China.
Since 2017, she has been living in Hong Kong and teaching art at prestigious schools such as Harrow and Po Leung Kuk CKY School. Her experience as a practicing artist allows her to provide a wide range of knowledge, artistic techniques, and creativity in her educational endeavors.
Throughout her life, Anastasia has been fascinated by how life experiences and worldviews are expressed through art. In her personal practice, she prefers oil paints and mixed media. Her favorite subjects include the evening sky, water reflections, flowers, and fairy-tale illustrations.
Anastasia's paintings are celebrated for their depictions of magnificent sunsets, the mystique of seas and lakes, the charm of ancient cities, and the beauty of blooming fantasy flowers. Through her artworks, she reflects the bright, vibrant colors of nature, reminding us that we live in an impressionable and fantastic world, and that we should always appreciate these precious moments amid the chaos of daily life.
Her paintings can be found in private collections across Russia, Europe, Africa and Hong Kong.
